Homer AK Based all day chartered Black Bear Hunts
In early spring big boars come out of the dens first and are very active, combing the beaches and hillsides for fresh greens. Early morning and late afternoon are the prime hunting times.
The 33 foot landing craft “Smokey Bay” is at the client's disposal for the whole day. The hunters can spread throughout the grounds for glassing and spot-and-stalk opportunities or glass from the boat and cover large areas
This hunting areas hold lots of bears and success rate is high. Archery opportunities are also good with lots of cover for a stalk.
The boat returns to Homer every night where clients typically stay in a B+B or hotel. Freezer space is available to store meat and trophies. Transportation to and from the boat is provided.
A transporters license is required to take hunters to and from the field and the captain is not allowed to assist in the taking of game.
Animals can be processed in the field, or brought back to the boat whole and processed on the large deck.

When you book at these prices the boat is exclusively yours and hunting parties are not combined on the same hunt days.
Basic drop off and pick up transporter services for bear and mountain goat hunters throughout Kachemak Bay. For mountain goat draw / registration 359, 360, 361, 362, 364, 365, and black bear hunts. Prices vary depending on locations.
